Assignment: Jenny Wilson

I was going to write up a big long post about the late great photographer Garry Winogrand and his approach, and how I’ve been thinking of my own work. Winogrand saw photo subjects as problems to be solved. It related well to this assignment, photographing Salt Lake County Council member Jenny Wilson as she was interviewed. There were a lot of photographic “problems” to be solved. For one thing I was faced with the cliche of the reflective table and wanted to tackle it in a different way.
My Winogrand thoughts took off and expanded to the point that they will now appear elsewhere. But I’ll link to that when it’s up.
